The Eden to Addo Great Corridor Hike is more than a slackpacking trail, it is a 350 km, 20-day expedition for, and about, conservation. This epic adventure aims to link three South African mega reserves: Addo Elephant National Park, Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve and the Garden Route National Park to protect and restore the integrity of biodiversity in South Africa.
All funds raised contribute to maintaining important conservation corridors from Addo all the way to Knynsa. Hikers walk through portions of these preserves in addition to private areas that would otherwise be inaccessible, and experience five of South Africa’s seven biomes in one of the wildest regions of the country.
While hikers only travel with a day-pack and luggage is transported from campsite to campsite, the trail is tough and isolated. There are no other hikers, no chalets – just your guides and your fellow travellers through the wilderness.
