A Taste of Africa Restaurant opened in June 2015 with the idea of serving great food and allowing good friends to hang out and enjoy our slice of Africa.

Being the brainchild of a local entrepreneur, they saw a need for authentic South African food to be served in Colchester.

A Taste of Africa Restaurant is situated close to the banks of the beautiful Sundays River and Matyholweni entrance (Southern Gate) to the Addo Elephant National Park.

A Taste of Africa Restaurant serves up delicious favourites such as a range of breakfasts, pizzas, burgers, pastas, steaks and the well known South African Braai (barbeque).

Famous for their delicious Lavazza coffees, they also have a range of beers, ciders, wines and craft beers such as Car Park John.

The restaurant is open everyday of the week and welcomes walk-ins and bookings. The setting is perfect for families, individuals, functions, parties and hungry people. Table service, outdoor seating and take-aways are available.
