About Sitrusoewer River Camp

We offer four self-catering cabins each sleeping a family of four.

Camping sites with power points are also available.  Communal ablutions and lapa with fridge, microwave, kettle, two plate stove, bar and braai area.

Our brand new Blue Crane cabin is the only one with a separate bedroom with double bed and can sleep 4 people in total.  In the living room are a double sleeper couch, dining room table, kitchen sink, microwave, electric frying pan and toaster.  It also has its own bathroom with shower.  We supply enough toilet paper and shower soap for a weekend as well as dishwashing liquid and dish towels.  It has a patio with braai. We ask guests NOT to move any furniture in the cabin.  Everything is placed for a reason to prevent damage to the wooden floor and reeds against the wall.

Fish Eagle and Kingfisher both have 2 single beds next to each other and a bunker bed and the first three cabins are all supplied with bedding, cutlery, crockery, casserole, braai tongue, fridge and kettle.  Ideal for a family of four.  Guests must supply their own towels for all 4 cabins.

Fish Eagle has its own bathroom with shower soap and toilet paper.  There is a sink, dish towels and dishwashing liquid, for washing dishes in the cabin.  It has a microwave and toaster, electric frying pan and a patio with braai.

Kingfisher, the smallest of our cabins, has a little bathroom with toilet and basin, but guests must use communal ablution for shower.   There is shower soap and toilet paper in the communal ablution and dish washing liquid in the communal kitchen.  Kingfisher has an open braai.

Kiepersol has been upgraded and now has a separate bedroom with double bed as well as en-suite bathroom.   In the living room are 2 single beds, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, electric frying pan and cupboard with cutlery and crockery, casserole and braai tongue.  We supply duvet inners (1 x double and 2 x single) and 4 pillows for the cabin, but guests must bring own duvet covers and pillow cases. It has a small patio with bench table and braai and sink attached to the outside wall to wash dishes.  Guests are welcome to use the communal kitchen next to the large ablution.

There are no stoves in the cabins, but there is a two plate stove, microwave and toaster in the communal kitchen for cabin guests.  We suggest you bring your own pots and pans.

With easy access to the river it's an ideal spot for fishing, swimming and bird watching.  Loads of outdoor fun for children with swings, seesaw, trampoline, canoes and paddle skis.
